I was on the edge of my seat throughout this story. Loved it. The mixing of extra terrestrial with the past is so much fun to think about. I am glad you wrote about the research necessary for a historical piece. I am in awe of those who write historical fiction and it is one of my favorite genres.
Ahhh brilliant. We need more alien invasions set in medieval times. Great pacing and horror, and fantastic descriptions of clearly sci-fi elements but through a medieval lens. I very much enjoyed it!
At one point I thought the weapon was a light scabre
I thought about it, but a ranged weapon seems more practical. At least if you're not a Jedi.
A well constructed short story with a good mix of the historical and sci fi.
I can't think of any other story that ties medieval historical fiction, sci-fi, and horror together like this!
